What is a vector graphic?

Vectors are high-quality artworks made up of lines, points, and shapes. Vector graphics use mathematical equations to draw out our shapes and design that can later be scaled to any size. The ability that Vector graphic can be scaled to any size without wrecking the quality of images makes it a very popular design. This quality aspect of vector graphics makes it a tremendous tool for creating poster design, company logos, banners, and so many other things. Unlike raster, Vectors can also convert to rasters. One thing to keep in mind is that the two graphic editors come in various file formats. Vectors graphics are usually found in the PDF, SVG, Al, or EPS types of graphic design format.

What is Raster graphics?

Raster graphics are different from vector graphics. Raster graphics comprised of pixels. This category of graphics can’t convert to vectors. And since raster graphics are created using colorized pixels, the raster images lose their quality when being scaled. The raster files come in different formats. The raster graphic normally comes in PNG, JPEG, GIF, or APNG formats.

Now you might ask which graphic editor should you use for your pictures?

Well, each graphic editor has its benefits. Raster graphic for instance is able to portray better color depth that makes it great for digital Photograph editing. If you’re not working with digital photographs, your best choice might be Vector graphic using for all other sorts of design editing.

How can you create an astonishing vector?

Adobe Illustrator is a marvelous software that you can use and build vectors. It has so many tools that can help you create sensational vectors for your business or your pleasure.
