But the pandemic has made it a very popular platform. This was due to a high need for social relations, distance education, and remote work. Zoom integrates well with Microsoft Outlook, Skype for Business, Facebook Workplace, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Salesforce, and so much more. It gets a lot of complaints about its security, but besides that, the software has a lot to offer. The free version connects 100 participants for 40 minutes. With spending some money, It offers great options. You can choose your plan using this.

If you want to host a meeting, you need to sign up. After signing up, you can schedule a meeting and send the meeting link to the participants. If you’re the participant, you can join the meet using the code and the password given.

Skype is a video conferencing software founded by Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstrom in 2003. The software is available on iOS, Mac, Android, and Windows. The software has always been among the most influential software. In fact in the years from 2010 to 2019, skype ranked to be the sixth most downloaded mobile app. One of the reasons that make it popular is that, Unlike Google meet and zoom that gives most of the functions at a price, Skype does it at no cost. 

With the “instant meeting”, you can connect with people without registration or download needed.

When it comes to price, all of these conferencing services offer free and with-cost versions. Zoom’s free support is up to 100 participants for 40 minutes. Google Meet’s free support is up to 100 participants for 1-hour. And skype supports 50 members for 4-hour meetings. The largest number of participants are supported by Zoom’s most expensive plan. In fact with the extra fee, zoom supports up to 1000 participants for up to 30-hours while Google Meet can support 250 participants for 24-hours.
